The purpose of this Website is threefold:
* Current members can use the website to access their Chapter information and voice their opinions.
* Massage therapists who are not yet members can still access the site for educational events and information on how to join.
* Clients looking for a professional massage therapist can use the Find a Massage Therapist Tab to locate a professional massage therapist in their area.
NJ chapter members can use the site to keep up to date with their membership, and we can communicate information to our members about the educational events and meetings held by the AMTA NJ. We arrange events with some of the country’s top notch instructors to educate our membership in the field of Massage and Bodywork, and you will receive discounted prices for these events. As a Professional member, you are listed in the locator service Find a Massage Therapist Tab. You can also connect to National AMTA Website, where you can find even more information for AMTA NJ members. Through National AMTA, you also receive the highest quality insurance coverage and you have access to career development assistance which can be found in the National website’s Career Center. You also have access to reduced cost online website development programs available for members only. You can also view the Quarterly Newsletters that keep the membership updated on the newest information and products in the profession.
If you are a massage therapist visiting this site and you are not presently a member of the AMTA, this site is still very helpful. You can still access educational event information, and you can still attend the classes even if you are not a member for an additional fee. However, you will not be eligible for the other benefits listed above, including: educational discounts, the locator service, insurance, career development and the added well-known professional image of being an AMTA member. Hopefully, after visiting the site you will see that the membership pays for itself, and you will decide to join the AMTA which stands for Professionalism and Ethics.
For clients searching for a professional massage therapist in their area, you can click on the Find a Massage Therapist Tab and you will be able to locate a professional, educated massage therapist in your area. AMTA members are required to take continuing education courses to keep up to date with the newest educational information and continue to improve their skills. You will have the comfort of knowing you are choosing a professional with the necessary skills and your best interests in mind.
We hope that you will find this website useful. If you still have any questions, you can contact the NJ Chapter Board.
